Peter Gambino has been appointed as senior sales director of Ingram Micro's DC/POS sales team. In his new position, Gambino will lead the distributor's DC/POS sales team, as well as maintain his leadership role as the lead sales boss for its Apple, Digital Signage and Content Management Specialty-Sales teams.

Gambino will be based out of Ingram's Buffalo, N.Y., office and will report directly to Justin Scopaz, general manager and Data Capture/POS vice president of Ingram's DC/POS division. 

 

"Peter's proven track record, coupled with the strength and dedication of the DC/POS sales team, will play a key role in taking the organization to the next level of success," says Scopaz.

Gambino joined Ingram Micro in 1997 as regional sales manager. He was promoted to sales director in 1999 and senior sales director in 2003. Most recently he led the Midwest VAR territory as well as the three specialty-sales teams.
